My colleagues turned me onto Plantronics. I finally a position that works but it aches after about an hour of wearing it so I have to take it off. I only use this in the car due to laws about cellphone use. Have been using it for about a month now and everything is good except one thing. Looks cool, and now you can get it on Amazon for around $50 bucks. The earpieces that a provided are a little weird. After researching all over the internet this bluetooth set had very high marks. I don't walk all over earth with a bluetooth in my ear so this is not an issue for me.
They give you three sizes so you have to experiment to find the size that fits you. Once you do you have THEN experiment to figure out how to get it in your ear so that it stays in there and doesn't fall out. Clarity and connection quality is excellent. not bad.
The quality of the conversation is much improved over trying to talk to someone without the Plantronics. Most of the time I forget it is in.
Much better price through Amazon. This is a great product.
I purchased this product after my wife had purchased hers at the full retail price from the AT&T store. If I leave one of my hearing aids out, I don't need to switch.
The pairing was easy to accomplish and I have yet to have a problem with it losing the pairing or falling out of my ear. I wear hearing aids and am still able to use the Plantronics although I switch ears after a few hours for comfort reasons.
Easy to answer calls with this in my ear. Very happy and would recommend this to anyone looking for a good and reliable bluetooth earpiece.
With the Jabra, though it was certainly useable, there was a hollowness or "inside something" sound that made it clear whether the wearer was using it or not.It is comfortable to wear, and the supplied sizes of ear pieces make custom fitting for comfort easy. I had tried a less expensive, about half actually, Jabra from Amazon. This is an attractive unit in appearance, and stays so out of the way you barely notice it. I was hesitant at first to spend about twice the money to replace the Jabra that gave some trouble, but after receiving this unit and getting it going, it was clear immediately I had made a good choice. It is nearly impossible for the person on the other end of the line to tell the difference when the wearer is using this, or just hand holding the phone, the clarity is that good. The Plantronics Discovery 925 is easy to setup and pair, and comes in a very nice case and charging arrangement. This is clearly (literally) a case where you do get more, when you pay more.
I bought a little "boxwave" charger that provides both AC/DC or I plug into my laptop. In fact, I bought a 2nd one just in case the dog gets it.again (2 headsets, 1 cellphone, 5 tv remotes what can I say.she loves electronics). (6). I spend 80% of my time in the field regardless of weather. (5). Turn it off while the tech guy runs tests on your cellphone. (3) Extremely lightweight and so comfortable that I forget I'm wearing it all-day (12+ hrs).
Use the lanyard and/or charging case. At times too good.do not misplace the headset with it powered-on. Make sure the mic is angled towards the corner of your mouth. BUT, it comes with a really nice vehicle charger that fits this plantronics.
After 9 mos, I still absolutely love this headset. (4). It fits my ears and stays there without a hook, especially in cold weather. The USB cord has a standard size USB connector on one end. (2). The headset sound quality is not as good as this plantronics and I had to add a tiny piece of tape to feel exactly where I have to place my finger to operate it. The sound quality and connection has been flawless. Still works and connects while recharging, if powered-on.
Check prices, it's no longer high-end.Other features that I really like are: (1)The newer headsets have a little tab in the charging case that helps to remove it. Out of the box, the headset is set not to flash any lights while powered-on. Great Accessory: I recently tried the new LG HBM-800 because the charging cradle automatically becomes a speakerphone with the headset in it for a talk time of 7 hrs. Again, check prices to save money or get both headsets for the MSRP of one, for the ultimate bluetooth experience in versatility.
I tried to overlook this obvious flaw, as I quickly went through the four differently sized earloops that came with you, despite the fact two of them didn't fit me at all. I gave you to my father. Sure, it started out well enough. But before I get into all that, I have to share my experiences with the headsets that drove me into your arms.the Jawbones 1 and 2.Jawbone 2, I can't help but look longingly at your sleek, handsome design.I pored over reviews of your clever noise-cancellation technology, but ultimately, Jawbone 2, we were destined to split.
But ultimately you were just too high maintenance. And things were great in the beginning. But to my surprise I quickly discovered you had the same fatal flaw. Plantronics 925, you're a wonder. I tried to make it work, I really did.but the way you just kept falling out of my ear mid-conversation, well it was just plain rude. We had some good times, but I've moved up in the world. She was slimmer, lighter, sleeker.
I thought your sound was even clearer that the Jawbone 1. It wasn't going to work out. I did try all the sizes, but we just didn't seem to fit, baby. I loved your slimmer profile. And I can honestly say it's not me, baby, it's you. It may sound crass, but I admit I immediately went looking for a replacement. An upgrade. there's a new silicone in-ear replacement to do away with the loop.
Beneath that plastic veneer, you had a brittle metal prong as well, no more durable than your predecessor. But what's this. She may not have quite the sound quality you had, baby, but she could stick with me through an entire conversation. I dont' know what I ever did without you. The Plantronics Discovery 925 Bluetooth Earpiece (Black)[Retail Packaged].
and I found it on Amazon. She could go all weekend on a charge. 925 and I are very happy together, even now, months later. We got back together, and again things were good.for a few days. Your designers had wisely choosen to abandon your predecessor's terribly brittle metal earloop design which were constantly snapping in two in my pocket when not in use, upgrading you to a presumably more durable plastic loop.
I'm not looking back. I couldn't handle the repeated trips to Jawbone's site to order more packs of $15 ear loops, and I had to put you down. I was thrilled; we could start all over again. She came with a clever battery-powered charging case for my pocket, and perhaps best of all didn't use an earloop. Perhaps he'll be more understanding of your flaws.
